Scenario:
Sometimes a patient accidentally selects the wrong medication during onboarding — this is especially common with GLP-1 medications, where patients must meet dosage requirements for safety reasons. While patients can ask the provider to make a change during their consult, support staff may want to update the medication ahead of time to streamline the visit.
⚠️ Important Note: Changing the medication in the admin panel is only a request. The final decision is always made by the provider during the consultation.
Access your NimbusRX admin panel using your support credentials.
Click on Orders from the sidebar to view all patient submissions.
Search by patient name, email, or order ID to find the case in question.
Click on the patient’s order to open it.
In the top section of the order view, look for the Medication dropdown.
Click the dropdown and select the correct medication or dosage.
This new selection will be added to the consult and visible to the assigned provider.
You can also choose to send a checkout link to the patient for any additional balance that may be due before the visit is completed.
Always confirm with the patient (via phone, chat, or email) before updating their selection.
Use internal notes or chat messages to inform the provider of the reason for the change.
Do not guarantee to the patient that the new medication will be prescribed — emphasize that it’s subject to provider approval.
